This policy explains what information rentFast collects through this waitlist site and how we use it. We collect as little as possible — just enough to notify you at launch and, if you choose to share it, help with roommate matching.

1. What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your phone number and, only if you choose to provide it, free-form text describing the room or roommate you're looking for (rent, locality, preferences, move-in date, etc.). We don't require any other personal information to join the waitlist.

2. How we use it

We use your phone number to notify you when rentFast launches in your city and to communicate important updates about the product. Any room/roommate details you submit are used to understand demand and, once we launch, to help match you with relevant listings or roommates.

3. Where it's stored

Your information is stored in a Postgres database hosted via Vercel's infrastructure (Neon). We don't sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

4. Data retention & your rights

We retain waitlist data until launch and for a reasonable period after, to support the matching process. You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time by emailing aakashagarwal6898@gmail.com.
